Grouped by Finberg with the 'Lausanne' sketchbook and dated by him to about 1841; the book contains principally views in Lausanne and Berne, but this is apparently a view of Eu Cathedral, taken from a viewpoint very similar to that of CCCLIX-16, made in 1845 (No.629). It seems likely that the two drawings were made at the same time, and indeed probably belonged to the same roll sketchbook.
